Energy chains System guidelite vertical from igus

igus has developed the guidelite vertical system (GLV for short), based on certain assemblies of the "guidelok" guide trough series, to ensure that vertically moving energy chains are held securely in the track. Instead of a closed sheet metal channel, open guide rails made of plastic with a system length of 2000 mm are used to guide the energy chain. This open design minimizes the resonance chamber and helps to keep the run-off noise of the energy chain at a speed of up to 7 m/s to a minimum. According to the manufacturer, other features include good absorption of vibrations and simple installation, with a special screw ensuring that the rails can be screwed together with just one hand and no locking is required. If cables or energy chains are damaged - for example by falling parts - the open design of the guide trough allows the damaged area to be located quickly and accessed easily. Repairs can therefore be carried out quickly. The use of plastic rails also reduces the overall weight of the channel.
