JVL Industri Elektronik is launching 'ServoStep' stepper motors from the MIS171 to MIS176 series with a NEMA17 42 mm × 42 mm flange. They feature a controller with six different industrial Ethernet protocols, absolute multiturn encoders, closed-loop and M12 connectors. The motor family is based on the latest microprocessor and cooling technology. All the necessary electronics in a stepper system are integrated in the motor itself and are similar to the concept of other JVL motors. This allows them to be used in all types of motion control stepper or servo motor applications. Key features include a motor torque of +40 %, true closed-loop operation, a safe torque off (STO) input, a resolution of 409,600 Cnt/Rev, a supply voltage range of 7 to 72 V(DC) and protection up to IP65. The motors have an RS485 interface as well as optional CANopen or industrial Ethernet. The motors, which can be operated 'stand alone' or via a controller, are available in three different sizes.
