Nord Drivesystems has expanded the Nordbloc.1 series with single-stage gearboxes for applications with high speeds and high torques. The 'Nordbloc.1' helical gearboxes meet hygiene requirements thanks to their wash-down design. The FEM-optimized block housing ensures strength and rigidity. The design with internal reinforcements and the increased rigidity of the gearbox housing ensure low-noise operation. All bearing and seal seats are contained in the cast part. This eliminates the need for parting lines, which can weaken the housing and encourage oil leaks. Bores and mounting surfaces are produced in a single clamping operation; the resulting tight tolerances ensure the precise arrangement of gears, bearings and seals. The housing is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant aluminum. Additional protection is provided by the optional 'nsd tupH' surface finish. The helical gearboxes are available in five sizes with motor outputs from 0.12 to 7.5 kW for output torques of up to 280 Nm. All variants are available in a foot-mounted, flange-mounted (B5 or B14) or foot/flange version. Options for IEC and NEMA motor mounting as well as numerous equipment variants for shafts, bearings and lubrication can be flexibly implemented.
