With AI recognition for rotated objects

The latest edition of Teledyne Dalsa's image processing software 'Sapera' includes improved versions of the graphical AI training tool 'Astrocyte 1.50' and the image processing and AI libraries 'Sapera Processing 9.50'.

Teledyne Dalsa 's Sapera machine vision software offers field-proven image acquisition, control, image processing and artificial intelligence capabilities to design, develop and deploy high-performance machine vision applications such as metal plate surface inspection, hardware part location and identification, plastics sorting and PCB inspection, according to the vendor. New features in this release include rotated object detection for precise localization and alignment of objects/defects, a new segmentation algorithm with higher accuracy and higher speed in training and in use, a speed improvement from the Nvidia RTX 4000 series and powerful power mode management. The use of multiple GPUs and mixed-precision quantization results in shorter training times.
