Vision software in an updated version

The interactive vision software Design Assistant X from Matrox Imaging is now available in version 2109 and has been optimized primarily for use in 3D image processing applications.

The vision software includes an improved 3D display and meshing functions for visualizing 3D scan data as well as new algorithms for cutting point clouds and calculating the volume of test objects. According to provider Rauscher, other important new features include the option of OPC UA communication for interaction with production systems, the integration of high dynamic range (HDR) images to generate images with improved contrast, the use of diagrams for the user interface to graphically display results and trends, and the monitoring of runtime execution and reporting for easier troubleshooting and optimization in projects. Support for the intelligent cameras of the Iris GTX series from Matrox and the MIL CoPilot tool for training deep learning classifiers have also been added.
