Omron 's camera brings the power of artificial intelligence directly to the visual inspection of production lines. Instead of requiring time-consuming configuration, the system learns quickly and precisely on its own based on a few sample images. This reduces the set-up time from several hours to just a few minutes. At the same time, the camera continuously adapts to product variations, ensuring stable and reproducible inspection results. The technology is suitable for a variety of typical inspection tasks, such as detecting missing components, checking correct product types, detecting scratches or dents and ensuring that date codes are present and legible. The user-friendly interface guides users step-by-step through the entire set-up process. Clear instructions appear on the screen: from setting the lighting and focus to capturing a reference image and teaching in different product variants. According to the manufacturer, each work step is designed for maximum clarity and simple operation. This means that even users without in-depth experience in image processing can create reliable inspection sequences. The camera has a robust housing with IP67 protection. Thanks to integrated white LED lighting and five selectable autofocus lenses, the camera can be flexibly adapted to different production requirements. The compact, enclosed design eliminates the need for external housings, additional lenses or other hardware. The flexible autofocus function covers a focal length range from 59 mm to 2000 mm and automatically adjusts when switching between different product sizes.
