Paul Leibinger has a vision system for checking printed data as a supplement to its inkjet printers. V-check automatically compares the product marking applied with an inkjet printer against a reference sample and thus detects incorrect or incomplete data. The vision system enables 100% inspection of pre-defined elements. Among other things, letters, numbers, logos or images are subjected to a quality check or presence check. For this purpose, an image sensor is attached to the print head and a touchscreen display directly to the housing of the inkjet printer. Communication between the printer and sensor makes operation easier for the user, who can, for example, make settings for the trigger signal or the output of error messages directly via the printer screen. The printer menu is also used to define which action should be triggered in the event of a fault or faulty print.
