Vision 2018
EU initiative promotes networking
The matchmaking initiative "Business Beyond Borders" (BBB), which is funded by the European Commission, supports the 'Vision' with a comprehensive networking offer and thus makes it easier for participants to establish cross-border business contacts.
Visitors and exhibitors at the machine vision trade fair alike will be given the opportunity to find suitable partners for international cooperation in terms of profile and requirements and thus derive the greatest possible benefit from the event. In the run-up to the trade fair, exhibitors and visitors can register on an online platform and create a profile of their interests. Suitable business partners are brought together according to the requests. At the trade fair itself, there will be plenty of space and opportunities for business exchanges at numerous meetings - both in the specially set up matchmaking area and at the exhibitors' stands.
"Our aim is to involve both European and non-European companies in the matchmaking program and facilitate hundreds of meetings on site," says Sara Lanzilotta, Team Leader Business Beyond Borders at Eurochambres. The matchmaking program will take place on all three days of the trade fair, and there will also be a separate conference program on the first day.
For 'Vision', this is the first cooperation with the Business Beyond Borders initiative, which is funded by the European Commission and implemented by a consortium of UFI - Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, EMECA - European Major Exhibition Centres Association and the strategic communications consultancy LOW, led by Eurochambres (Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry). BBB aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular to become internationally active and thus increase economic growth within and outside Europe. Vision is one of ten trade fairs in Europe and worldwide where the BBB programme supports participating SMEs in their internationalization.
