JAI
Cameras with Sony Pregius S sensors
JAI is expanding its Go-X series of compact industrial cameras with 24 additional global shutter models equipped with the latest Sony Pregius S CMOS sensors.
The additional camera models from JAI are available with two different interfaces, with twelve models each being able to be connected via CoaXPress 2.0 and GigE Vision. Twelve more cameras in the series with 5 GigE (5 GBASE-T) are planned for December and will bring their Ethernet speed above USB3 level. Each of the twelve models has six resolutions ranging from 5.1 to 24.5 MP in monochrome and color. The Pregius S sensors are backside exposed in order to use smaller pixel sizes without compromising the signal-to-noise ratio. While the Go-X series previously offered resolutions from 2.3 MP to 12.3 MP, the new models extend this range up to 24.5 MP. Thanks to the pixel size of 2.74 µm, the 24.5 MP cameras in the series also have the same frontal area of 29 mm x 29 mm with an optical format of 1.2 inches (19.3 mm image circle).
