The Industrial Vision Days are organized by VDMA Machine Vision together with Messe Stuttgart. The focus of the forum, which includes around 50 company presentations, 16 start-up pitches and the presentations of the five finalists of the Vision Award, is "Visionaries from the machine vision industry". The presentations will cover all areas of image processing - from camera technology, robotics and 3D vision to software, AI and hyperspectral image processing. Deep learning continues to be one of the top topics. The lecture program can be found online at www.vision-messe.de/ivd.

The Vision Award, which this year honors the best innovations in the field of image processing for the 25th time, will be presented on the forum stage. "We received a total of 61 submissions. This represents an increase of almost 40 percent compared to the previous year," reveals Florian Niethammer, Head of Trade Fairs and Events at Messe Stuttgart. The jury has drawn up a shortlist of the most interesting developments from all the submissions. Jury member Christian Ripperda, Managing Director of Interroll Innovation, summarizes it as follows: "The submissions for the Vision Award 2022 included the trend topics of image processing: embedded vision, artificial intelligence, components, vision toolboxes as well as algorithmic and application-specific work." The high quality of the submissions is particularly noteworthy. On October 5, the five companies Brighter AI Technologies, Edge Impulse, Kitov.ai, Saccade Vision Ltd. and SWIR Vision Systems Inc. will present their innovations.
