Additional interfaces integrated
MVTec Software has launched a new version of its image processing software 'Merlic'. In version 5.4, the focus has been placed on easier process integration.
Thanks to newly developed plugins, MVTec 's software can now be operated via the REST interface. Thanks to the REST plugin, the software can be controlled via a front end in the web browser. The results of the machine vision application can also be displayed there regardless of the device, for example on mobile devices.
Another new plugin enables users to access the Schneider Electric 'Modicon PLC'. This expands the range of systems into which the software can be integrated. In concrete terms, the connection means that, for example, robots and 'Merlic' can work together directly via a 'Modicon PLC' with Modbus protocol.
