Acquisition in the field of machine vision
Technology Group Andritz has acquired the Finnish company Procemex, a provider of integrated web monitoring and inspection solutions for the pulp and paper industry.
With this acquisition, Andritz is expanding its company portfolio in the field of automation and digitalization. Procemex's intelligent camera-based solutions support plant operators in ensuring the quality of their products and minimizing downtimes. Procemex has been active in the market for 20 years and has delivered over 1,000 systems to customers worldwide. The company has more than 100 employees specializing in vision systems and operates sites in Finland, Germany, Japan and the USA.
The technology group Andritz has four business areas - Pulp & Paper, Metals, Hydropower and Environment & Energy - and around 30,000 employees at over 280 locations in more than 80 countries.
