A 3D application in ten minutes

AT - Automation Technology launches the 'MetrologyPackage' on the market. It enables the process of 'install sensor, scan object, visualize and evaluate measurement data' out of the box within ten minutes.

As part of the new AT SolutionPackage, the MetrologyPackage focuses specifically on metrology applications and simplifies the integration, configuration and commissioning of the sensors. The MetrologyExplorer tools allow users to get started immediately with a 3D sensor from the C6 series. After just a few minutes, the first 3D images can be created and the associated measurement information analyzed. The package supports fully automatic alignment according to the reference point system (RPS). This makes it possible, among other things, to align the individual images of several partial scans or even several sensors with different perspectives using reference data and to combine them into 'real' 3D images of the entire object.

The functionality of the sensors can be flexibly expanded with individual application solutions. With the Metrology Software Development Kit (SDK), AT provides extensive support for this: demo programs for common applications can be tested in real time and the source codes provided make it easier for programmers to start adapting the evaluation scripts. A developer license is then required for the development of customer-specific applications, which can be purchased for a fee.
