CSRD-compliant sustainability report published
With the publication of the Sustainability Report 2024, the Schaeffler Group is creating transparency for its stakeholders. In accordance with the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Sustainability Report is part of the Group Management Report in the Annual Report 2024 for the first time and was prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler, says: "Sustainability remains a top priority for Schaeffler even after the merger with Vitesco. We stand by our responsibility and will continue to work with our customers and partners to find solutions that make sustainable business possible. Transparency is particularly important to us. Our reporting system for the entire Schaeffler Group consistently follows the uniform European requirements."
This report largely relates to the Schaeffler Group's sustainability performance prior to the acquisition of the Vitesco Technologies Group on October 1, 2024. Since Vitesco Technologies has thus ceased to exist, the data of its subsidiaries has been integrated into Schaeffler's sustainability report from the fourth quarter onwards.
"A" in both categories: Climate change and water safety
The company's sustainability performance is reflected positively in the current CDP rating: An "A" was awarded in the climate change category and in the area of water security.In addition, Schaeffler received the Global Transition Award 2024 from Handelsblatt for its current and targeted climate performance and its active contribution to a 1.5°-compliant economy.
