Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler, says: "Sustainability remains a top priority for Schaeffler even after the merger with Vitesco. We stand by our responsibility and will continue to work with our customers and partners to find solutions that make sustainable business possible. Transparency is particularly important to us. Our reporting system for the entire Schaeffler Group consistently follows the uniform European requirements."

This report largely relates to the Schaeffler Group's sustainability performance prior to the acquisition of the Vitesco Technologies Group on October 1, 2024. The company's sustainability performance is reflected positively in the current CDP rating: An "A" was awarded in the climate change category and in the area of water security. In addition, Schaeffler received the Global Transition Award 2024 from Handelsblatt for its current and targeted climate performance and its active contribution to a 1.5°-compliant economy.
