... communication between things on the internet. The 'IOTree' platform from start-up Physec makes it possible to digitize objects and connect them to the internet. The platform also provides a simple tool for securely encrypting this communication. At the heart of Physec's solution is the creation of an authentic and secure connection between the objects involved using cryptographic keys. These keys are derived from information about the shared environment of both devices, such as the physical properties of rooms and objects. To do this, objects only need to come together once for a kind of initial moment. The information from this meeting serves as authentication and cannot be reconstructed afterwards by potential external attackers.
