With 'Youmo', the start-up Good Gadgets has developed a modular system consisting of hardware and software elements in which the power supply of electrical devices is combined with other electronic and digital functions. This allows devices to be charged via USB or even wirelessly. Even your own multi-socket can be transformed into a smart home tool and used to switch lamps, televisions and hi-fi systems on and off according to freely definable rules or to analyze their power consumption. Users can manage their 'Youmos' via an app or web interface and also access additional functions such as the vitality alarm. This can be used in a senior household. It detects if, for example, the coffee machine that was previously used daily is suddenly no longer switched on. In such a case, relatives are automatically informed.
