Voith is satisfied with the operating figures for the past fiscal year (ending September 30, 2018). According to the company, the below-plan development of the Group Division 'Hydro' was offset by "an excellent year" in the Division 'Paper' and a "solid performance" in the third Division 'Turbo'. Overall, orders received by the Voith Group in 2017 / 2018 grew by 2% on a currency-adjusted basis despite the temporary weakness of 'Hydro'. Taking currency effects into account, it fell slightly to €4.3 billion (previous year: €4.4 billion). The order backlog amounted to EUR 5.2 billion at the end of the financial year and was thus at the previous year's level. Adjusted for currency effects, Group sales rose by 4%. Taking into account the negative currency effects, it remained almost stable compared to the previous year at over EUR 4.2 billion.
