The network of digitally connected systems, including field devices that share information, is central to the vision of the connected enterprise. Existing networks are overloaded under the burden of increasing data traffic and have limited potential for expansion or addressability.

The need for seamless connectivity from any sensor or actuator, even in remote locations, dictates a change in industrial connectivity architectures. Ethernet connectivity over single twisted pair cabling up to 1km (new IEEE standard 802.3cg-2019 / 10BASE-T1L) in Zone 0 intrinsically safe applications will unleash the true power of Industry 4.0 in process control applications.

This presentation will explore the opportunities presented by enterprise-wide connectivity and new Ethernet technologies that support the connectivity vision of tomorrow's industry.

Fiona Treacy, Strategic Marketing Manager, Industrial Ethernet Technology at Analog Devices, welcomes you to the presentation "Delivering the Connected Enterprise for Industry 4.0".

Date: November 26, SPS Connect - 2:00 - 2:20 p.m.
