3D printing as a trending topic
The 20th edition of METAV will be held in Düsseldorf from February 20 to 24. One of the trending topics at this year's international trade fair for metalworking technologies is the possibilities of 3D printing.
With 3D printing, prototypes made of metal or plastic and customized products such as hearing aids and prostheses can be produced in the shortest possible time. In conjunction with the increasingly prevalent Industry 4.0, companies will be able to manufacture small quantities cost-effectively and efficiently in the future. At the METAV 2018, organized by the VDW, companies such as Phoenix Contact and DMG Mori will be demonstrating what they have to offer in terms of 3D printing:
