The agreement expands access to Vicor's power supply modules through Avnet's design and supply chain. The global franchise agreement is effective immediately. Customers in the EMEA region will have access to Vicor's product portfolio through Avnet's European business unit Avnet Abacus, a leading distributor of interconnect, passive, electromechanical and power supply products.

David Krakauer, Vice President Industrial Business Unit and Corporate Marketing at Vicor: "This is a great opportunity for us to work with a leading global distributor focused on our target markets. Working with Avnet will better position Vicor to offer our highly differentiated modular power solutions to customers looking to rapidly advance their own innovations."

Peggy Carrieres, Global Vice President Supplier Development at Avnet, said: "In today's markets, companies need to innovate to stay ahead of the competition. This agreement comes at a time when many of our customers are looking for ways to stand out from the crowd. They are faced with the challenge of squeezing more power into ever smaller spaces and are looking for solutions with high power density and high efficiency. Vicor's power supply modules will provide our customers with a high quality solution."
