Succession for CFO

Axel Börner, CFO of the Wago Group, is retiring from the operating business of the electrical engineering and automation technology provider after 20 years. On March 15, 2023, Jürgen Koopsingraven will take over the management of the commercial divisions as CFO.

"Since joining Wago in 2003, Axel Börner has played a key role in shaping the company and, with his broad range of responsibilities, has made a decisive contribution to the stable, successful growth of our company," emphasizes Sven Hohorst, member of the Advisory Board and shareholder of the Minden-based family business. The 60-year-old's areas of responsibility ranged from finance and controlling, purchasing and the company's supply chain to IT, legal and facility management.

His successor Jürgen Koopsingraven (50) has more than 20 years of professional experience in the automotive industry. At KSPG Automotive (now Rheinmetall Automotive), he initially held various commercial management positions and most recently the role of 'Head of Corporate Strategy'. Before joining Wago, he was CFO at the FEV Group, an international development service provider for vehicle development, where he was responsible for finance, controlling and IT as well as other operational responsibilities worldwide and was able to successfully drive forward transformation and digitalization in this very dynamic market environment.
