Passive components user forum 2019
Passives for professionals - Program online
Tips and tricks for the use of capacitors & co. will be provided at the 4th user forum 'Passive for Professionals', which will take place in Munich from July 2 to 3. The opening keynote will be given by Jean Quecke, Sales Director Central Europe at Future Electronics and responsible for Passive.
There are probably few components where material science details have such a resounding effect as with passive components. In applications, they change their properties non-linearly for almost all parameters and depending on the circuitry.
As the organizers, the two trade media Markt&Technik and DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK are primarily addressing circuit and system developers in the DACH region as well as technical purchasing departments with this user forum. In terms of application technology, the presentations will focus on industrial electronics, medical technology, communication technology, automotive and renewable energies.
In addition to the technical discussions, the supply bottlenecks, especially for ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), will once again play a major role, as was the case last year. In addition to the latest information on supply availability, various speakers will also discuss possible ways out of the dilemma: Can I switch to a smaller size (downsizing)? Can I switch to a different type of capacitor?
45-minute tutorials on the three component groups will bring all participants up to the same level of knowledge so that everyone can follow the subsequent technical presentations well.
The various lectures will cover the following topics in depth:
- Types of resistors, capacitors and inductors
- Advantages and disadvantages of different types
- materials
- Material and design-related characteristics (frequency, temperature and voltage dependence)
- ageing
- losses
- Electromagnetic compatibility
- Interaction with active components and ICs, especially wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN)
- Standards
At the accompanying trade exhibition, manufacturers and service providers will present their latest products and interesting applications and will be available for in-depth technical discussions.
Join us again in July 2019 and take the opportunity to find out more in over 20 presentations, intensive seminars, panel discussions and much more!
