Counterfeit productsProduct counterfeiters denounced with 'Plagiarius 2019'
On February 8, 2019, Aktion Plagiarius e.V. "awarded" the negative "Plagiarius" prize to brazen counterfeiters and their sales partners for the 43rd time. The counterfeit products include consumer goods as well as two industrial components.
The design, function and colors of the 'Klickfix' handlebar adapter from Rixen & Kaul in Solingen have been copied 1:1, so that there is a deliberate risk of confusion with the original (pictured left). However, the counterfeit from the Chinese company Tianjin Jiawei Hongfa Plastic Mold is extremely cheap in terms of materials and workmanship. It was distributed by an Italian manufacturer of bicycle baskets. According to the Plagiarius campaign, however, this company denies having distributed the counterfeit - despite clear evidence.
