On February 8, 2019, Aktion Plagiarius e.V. "awarded" the negative "Plagiarius" prize to brazen counterfeiters and their sales partners for the 43rd time. The counterfeit products include consumer goods as well as two industrial components.
First place in this year's 'Plagiarius' negative award goes to the company Ningbo ACME Industrial Automation from Ningbo, China. The imitator has copied an entire product range of the German company Bürkert Werke from Ingelfingen. It infringes the internationally registered figurative mark and the design registered in China, among others. In the 1:1 copy of the 'Type 2000' angle seat valve (the original on the left in the picture, the counterfeit on the right), he took over all the typical Bürkert design elements, such as the frames around the numbers on the brass valve housing.
