Cables, connectors etc. are the backbone of every factory. The "smarter" the latter becomes, the higher the demands on the passive elements for signal and energy transmission. Computer&AUTOMATION has compiled the latest products from the field of electromechanics.

Ifm electronic has added a halogen and silicone-free EVF version to the 'ecolink' series especially for applications in the food industry - for example in bottling plants. The cable material, which has a temperature resistance of -25 to +100 °C, is a special development. A hexagonal contour nut with plenty of grip also ensures optimum sealing for manual assembly. The integrated mechanical stop protects the O-ring from being destroyed by over-tightening the nut. Assembly and disassembly are carried out without tools. The vibration protection acts asymmetrically and thus holds the union nut firmly in position. In addition, cable variants with a cable cross-section of 4 mm × 1 mm have been developed for wet areas in particular. This makes longer cables possible, which extends the range of applications.
