Cables, connectors etc. are the backbone of every factory. The "smarter" the latter becomes, the higher the demands on the passive elements for signal and energy transmission. Computer&AUTOMATION has compiled the latest products from the field of electromechanics.

The EL3751 1-channel Ethercat terminal for analog measurement technology from Beckhoff combines high measurement accuracy - for most interfaces ±0.01 % of the full scale value at 25 °C (±5 °C) - with a maximum sampling rate of 10,000 samples/s and 24-bit resolution (including sign). In addition, there is long-term stability through pre-aging and extensive configuration options for the nominal measuring range of the input channel. The functions of XFC technology (eXtreme Fast Control) are also available. This allows the measurement data to be transferred to the higher-level automation device with oversampling if required. Integrated distributed clocks ensure precisely synchronized scanning throughout the system. The 'Extended Range' feature enables measurement beyond the nominal measuring range, which can be extended to up to 107 %. To suppress aliasing effects, the input channel also has two adjustable numerical software filters up to a maximum of 39th order FIR / 6th order IIR. The filters can be preselected or freely written so that a bandstop or bandpass can also be implemented. Thanks to the input channel, which can be extensively parameterized both electrically and in the software, the measurement terminal can be used universally, for example for voltage and current measurement, for resistance or RTD measurement in 2-/3-/4-wire connection.
