Product presentationsNews from the field of electromechanics

Cables, connectors etc. are the backbone of every factory. The "smarter" the latter becomes, the higher the demands on the passive elements for signal and energy transmission. Computer&AUTOMATION has compiled the latest products from the field of electromechanics.

Baying enclosure system TS 8 from Rittal

With the TS 8 baying enclosure system from Rittal, the side panels, the enclosure roof, the rear panel and the base plates are automatically conductively connected to the frame during assembly. This ensures potential equalization without the need to contact these parts with earthing straps. This solution is implemented with special claws or washers that press through the electrically non-conductive surface coating of the flat parts during assembly, thus creating a secure contact. An earthing strap only needs to be attached to the enclosure door. The contact resistance between the flat parts and the enclosure frame is less than 0.1 Ω. This automatic potential equalization makes installation easier, as the time-consuming attachment of up to seven earthing straps per enclosure is no longer necessary.
