© Provertha Connectors, Cables & Solutions

Provertha has expanded its range of M8/M12 circular connector solutions and now also offers M8 crimp CF connectors with 360° shielding with D-code in protection class IP67. The 4-pin M8 connectors are specified by the Profibus User Organization (PNO) in accordance with the Profinet guidelines and enable robust and space-saving solutions for Profinet and Ethernet networks. The requirements for a functionally reliable Ethernet connection and interference-free data transmission in applications with high loads due to vibration and torsion, such as in railroad and transportation technology as well as in factory automation for automatic punching presses and robot applications, are met in particular. Thanks to its compact full metal housing, the connector is protected against interference in harsh environments. The turned crimp contacts ensure a high level of network security and the plastics used are certified for railroad applications in accordance with EN 45 545-2. Other technical features include a rated current of 4 A, a rated voltage of 60 V(DC), an insulation resistance of ±100 MΩ, a conductor cross-section of AWG 26 to 22 and cable diameters of 4.5 to 6.9 mm. The connectors operate in a temperature range between -20 and +85 °C.
