Award for heavy-duty robot

Every two years, Igus presents the Vector Award at the Hannover Messe trade fair, recognizing special applications with energy chain systems. This year, the golden Vector went to Robotic Drilling Systems from Norway.

The winners of the golden Vector Award 2016 (vrnl): Rune Bjørnbekk, Jimmy Bostrøm (both Robotic Drilling Systems), laudator and patron of the competition Ken Fouhy (vdi nachrichten), Harald Nehring (Igus).

The silver Vector from Igus went to the Italian company Fidia. Bronze went to Ebawe Anlagentechnik from Eilenburg in Saxony.

The Vector Award 2016 jury consisted of representatives from the specialist media, business and research. The golden Vector is endowed with 5,000 euros. A total of 190 entries from 26 countries competed for the award.
