"We can look back on a successful financial year," summarized ABB Germany CEO Hans-Georg Krabbe when announcing the figures for 2015. While order intake increased in all divisions, sales in the automation divisions fell slightly.

Lenze is launching a regenerative unit in two power levels - with 12/24 and 26/48 KW. By separating the feed-in and regenerative paths, both branches can be designed separately, which enables exact dimensioning according to the system requirements.

"Integrated Industry - Discover Solutions!" was the motto of the world's most important industrial trade fair, Hannover Messe 2016. Computer&AUTOMATION shows an excerpt of the products that were on display in Hanover in a picture gallery.

Linear direct drive technology
Linear direct drive technology makes it possible: Thanks to a sophisticated magnetic field, a new method for material feed in metal processing works completely contact-free and significantly faster than conventional roller feeds.

Last year, electromobility made considerable gains worldwide. Germany continues to play a subordinate role - but is able to establish its own e-cars on the market for the first time.

The Novocon digital actuator from Danfoss is a 4-in-1 solution, as it is also a bus communication unit, flow indicator and data logger. This allows heating and cooling systems in commercial buildings to be controlled via the building automation system.
