Simplified configuration
LAM Technologies is launching the OmniAutomation commissioning suite for Windows to configure and diagnose the digital stepper motor controllers from the 'DDS' families.
It is available to download free of charge and supports the device series DDS1 (clock/direction, speed and torque control), DDS6 (CANopen), DDS7xM (Modbus TCP), DDS7xE (Ethercat) and DDS7xP (Profinet IO). The PC is connected to the device via the electrically isolated UPD30 interface. The controller of the devices can be supplied from the USB bus via the UDP30, so that parameterization is also possible when the system is switched off.
As LAM's distributor for German-speaking countries, mechapro has taken over the translation of OmniAutomation's GUI, which was previously only available in English and Italian. The now 3-language version is now available for download on the company website.
