We are excellently positioned in our markets, have increased our profitability and can continue to build on a robust balance sheet to shape our future. This makes us confident that we will achieve our strategic goals for the coming years," explained Dr. Toralf Haag, President and CEO.

In the past fiscal year, Voith benefited from its broad geographical and sectoral positioning. In total, the Group secured new orders amounting to EUR 4.69 billion in 2018/19, compared to EUR 4.29 billion in the previous year; this corresponds to an increase in orders of 9%. The order backlog increased by 9% to €5.63 billion as at the balance sheet date - the highest order backlog in seven years.
