Siemens Large Drives Applications
Michael Reichle becomes CEO
There has been a change in management at Siemens Large Drives Applications: Michael Reichle took over as CEO on January 1 and will be given additional responsibilities over the course of the year.
Effective January 1, 2023, Michael Reichle has been appointed CEO of the Siemens portfolio company Large Drives Applications (LDA). He will assume all responsibilities of his predecessor Hermann Kleinod, who will remain part of the global LDA management team.
Reichle will also take over as CEO of the newly established integrated motors and large drives company. At the annual press conference on November 17, 2022, Siemens announced its intention to merge its Large Drives Applications, Low Voltage Motors, Geared Motors, Weiss Spindle Technology and Sykatec business units under a single umbrella. The planned new company will have its own legal form and operate outside the core business of Siemens AG, with its headquarters in Germany.
Michael Reichle has been with Siemens since 1997 and has held various management and CEO positions in recent years, including CEO of the independent portfolio company Siemens Logistics since 2014. He has more than 25 years of management experience.
Christoph Salentin will remain CFO of LDA and will then also assume responsibility as CFO for the new company. As CFO, Salentin will play a key role in achieving the turnaround and the continuous improvement of LDA's business processes and was instrumental in driving forward LDA's carve-out process last year.
