SPS IPC Drives 2016Siemens moves Mindsphere platform into focus
Under the motto "Driving the Digital Enterprise", Siemens will be presenting specific applications for the digital factory at SPS IPC Drives. A new special area is dedicated to the IoT ecosystem 'Mindsphere'.
With solutions, products and services for industrial security, Siemens wants to support companies in complying with the requirements of the German IT Security Act. For some of the critical infrastructures covered by the Act, the law already stipulates a reporting obligation for security-relevant incidents from November 2016 and minimum standards for IT security from May 2017. This applies to the water supply, telecommunications, energy supply and food industry sectors. Siemens offers a holistic industrial security concept for this purpose. It includes industrial-grade security products for system integrity and network security. It also includes services for analyzing the security situation and setting up and managing security systems, including an early warning system for the continuous monitoring of industrial plants.
