Vega - Radar sensor compliant with IEC 62443-4-2
This year, Vega is focusing on its Vegaplus 6X radar sensor for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids. According to the product information, the sensor operates in a process temperature range from -196 to 450 °C and ambient temperatures in the range from -40 to +80 °C. The beam angle is 3° depending on the antenna. The measuring range extends up to 120 m, the typical range is 25 m. The radar sensors in 80 GHz technology are used for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids, while the sensors in 6 GHz and 26 GHz technology are used for level measurement of special media such as acetone, ammonia or solvents.Depending on the application, the housing is made of plastic, aluminum or stainless steel (investment casting or electropolished).
