The German machine tool industry is expecting production to grow by 2% in 2019, according to the annual press conference of the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW).

Production in the machine tool industry will grow to 17.4 billion euros in 2019, explains Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Prokop, Chairman of the VDW. Production could still benefit from the previous year's good performance, while the existing order volume will only be realized in phases in the current year.
