'Industrial Intelligence' - this is the guiding theme of the Hannover Messe 2019. Computer&AUTOMATION shows an excerpt of the products that can be seen in Hanover in a picture gallery.
The HarshIO Industrial Ethernet I/O modules from Molex enable the connection of programmable logic controllers to motorized rollers via an Ethernet fieldbus - depending on the application and the type of motorized roller used, even without the use of a company-specific system from the respective roller manufacturer. The modules are specially designed for system manufacturers, integrators and end users who develop conveyor belts for factory automation, conveyor systems or baggage conveyors. They include a base plate for functional grounding, 4-pin and 5-pin power connector versions, Ultra-Lock M12 connectors, an IP67 seal, eight digital channels, four motorized roller channels, diagnostic LEDs, three rotary switches, a two-port Ethernet switch, an Ethernet metal plate that enables both ODVA and PI grounding, and an Ethernet fieldbus connection. Up to four drive rollers can be controlled with a single module. In addition, the modules offer automatic detection of the 'ITOH Denki PM500XE/XP' and 'Interroll EC310' motorized rollers as well as active motorized roller protection through intelligent energy dissipation.
