Siemens patent applicationsInventors of the year 2016 have been announced
Siemens has now named ten particularly resourceful researchers "Inventors of the Year 2016". The scientists from Germany, Austria, the USA and Denmark are responsible for 558 registered inventions and 597 individual patents.

Today, virtually all machines and systems are equipped with sensors that provide data, for example on energy consumption, temperature or noise levels. Dr. Heiko Claussen (35) develops self-learning systems that learn from this data how a machine runs optimally or when there are deviations. The highlight: the intelligent monitoring system analyzes data that is generated anyway. The young researcher has had a lightning career at Siemens Corporate Technology in Princeton, USA, and was awarded Inventor of the Year in the "Young Talent" category for his work this year.
