Radical new approaches are rare in the development of rail vehicles. Christian Karner (43) and Radovan Seifried (42) from Siemens Mobility in Graz, together with Prof. Christian Moser (61) from Graz University of Technology, have succeeded in developing a new chassis frame that weighs just 845 kg instead of 1.5 tons.
