Formula Student Germany 2019German racing cars prove themselves at the Hockenheimring
Around 3,500 students from 25 countries brought the asphalt at the Hockenheimring to the boil at the beginning of August: At the 'Formula Student Germany 2019' design competition, their self-built racing cars competed in the combustion engine, electric drive and autonomous vehicle classes.

... to prove themselves in five dynamic disciplines: In the 'Skidpad' discipline, the racing cars drive on a course in the shape of a figure of eight (pictured). They have to complete two consecutive laps on each circle. With a fast lap time, the cars show how much lateral acceleration they can generate.
