SEW-EurodriveControl method for three-phase drives
Many control methods have been developed for three-phase motors, for which there are numerous terms. In order to bring clarity to the variety of terms and abbreviations, this article highlights basic properties using the Movi-C frequency inverter as an example.

In principle, field-oriented control is quite simple: If the rotating stator variables (α, β) are transformed into fixed field variables (d, q) - taking into account the angle of rotation δ - the flux and torque can be controlled almost as easily as with a DC motor.
