B&R makes it easier for customers to design their machines and systems with CAD programs using a web-based configurator. This allows the CAD data of several hundred thousand different motor configurations as well as gearboxes and motor-gearbox combinations to be created and used in all common CAD programs. The CAD configurator on the supplier's website enables the selection of all options such as cooling type, size, encoder system, connection technology, shaft design and bearing. This provides the machine manufacturer with the data for the motor used in each case. The CAD data can be exported in all formats for all common CAD systems - either in 2D, 3D or as a dimensional drawing. Optionally, a data sheet for the respective motor can also be saved. The CAD configurator is currently available for the '8LS' and '8JS' servomotor series as well as for gearboxes and motor-gearbox combinations.
