VDMA2017 will be a year of growth
Carl Martin Welcker announced a real production increase of 1% at the VDMA's economic press conference. The association president thus confirmed the forecast for the mechanical and plant engineering sector for this year.

The VDMA President highlighted one figure in particular - the number of people employed in mechanical engineering: "In 2016, we were once again the largest industrial employer in Germany. In December 2016, our industry employed 1,018,000 people."
