For predictive maintenance
According to the manufacturer, the new incremental encoder from Oriental Motor is particularly suitable for use in predictive maintenance thanks to its precision in measuring speed, position and direction of rotation.
Resolutions of 1000 or 2000 pulses per revolution are available. The encoders from Oriental Motor measure with an angular accuracy of ±0.36 °. With an outer diameter of just 30 mm and an installation depth of only 22 mm, they are suitable for applications where space is limited. The incremental encoder is available with a round shaft and a hollow shaft. All versions have a voltage output and a line driver output. The line driver output is particularly suitable for applications with longer signal lines, as it amplifies the output signal. In combination with a line receiver, better protection against electromagnetic interference can also be achieved. Three output signals (A, B, Z) are provided. The encoder operates at a maximum frequency of 200 kHz (line driver) or 100 kHz (voltage).
