AMKmotion at the SPS 2025
New Generation of Synchronous Servomotors
With the DIP, AMKmotion is launching synchronous servomotors with high power density, compact design and up to three times the acceleration of comparable drives.
The reluctance component reduces the use of rare earths. According to the manufacturer, users benefit from shorter process cycles and higher productivity. As less energy is required for the axis movement, the overall power consumption is reduced. This has a direct impact on the design of the machine, which can be constructed more compactly and operated more efficiently, as no oversized cooling systems or safety distances are required. Thanks to the optimized magnetic circuit, the manufacturer claims to have been able to reduce inertia to a third compared to drives of the same design. This means that the synchronous servomotors can react more quickly to setpoint changes and can be controlled more precisely. Size 10 is currently available in the power range from 5 to 100 kW, with other sizes and lengths, development variants and different cooling types such as convection, liquid or forced ventilation cooling to follow.
