Microbial recycling of plastic packaging
A new research project at the Universities of Kassel and Hamburg aims to use microbial recycling to develop an environmentally friendly method to break down multi-layer plastic films into their constituent parts. The aim is to create an innovative technology that enables high-quality recycled products made from polyethylene (PE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
