Gearbox

Geared motors

Motors / Electric motors

The abbreviation SEW in the name SEW-EURODRIVE stands for Süddeutsche Elektromotorenwerke. Electric motors of various designs continue to form the basis of our drive technology: whether energy-saving motors, hygienic or explosion-proof designs, linear motors or electric cylinders, we are sure to have the right motor solution for you.

Decentralized drive technology

More flexibility in production, modularized systems, Industry 4.0, energy-efficient drive technology, decentralized automation structures, frequency converters directly on the drive - decentralized electrical drive technology is and can do all this and more. But how exactly, why and when is a decentralized approach to drives and automation worthwhile?

Frequency inverter

As one of the leading manufacturers of drive technology, we naturally also offer the right inverter technology to go with our mechanical components. We develop and produce drive and frequency inverters for controlling and regulating drive trains in machines and systems. And this for central installations in control cabinets or for wall mounting as well as for decentralized installation.

Servo gearbox

Our servo gearboxes stand for dynamics and precision. They are designed to be robust, torsion-resistant and compact. We offer low-backlash planetary and bevel servo gearboxes that cover a torque range from 25 Nm to 3,000 Nm and are also used in complex motion control applications.

Control technology

Control technology should come from a single source in order to ensure consistent performance for efficient automation. We combine optimally scalable controller hardware with easily programmable motion control software for you. Our integrated control program covers a wide range of motion functions: from single-axis positioning to cam plates and robotics.

Software drive technology

Automation is playing an increasingly important role in plant engineering. This is the only way to achieve the required higher productivity. Our range of software and software modules includes all the tools you need to provide you with end-to-end support - from project planning, engineering and commissioning through to operation.

Energy transmission and energy supply

Wherever long travel distances have to be bridged at high speed without drag chains etc. and without wear, system operators can no longer do without mobile systems. The storage and retrieval machines in a high-bay warehouse at the production site have been equipped with energy storage units that reuse braking energy and reduce peak loads.
