Outpatient Children's Hospice Munich (AKM)
WEKA extends sponsorship
Families with seriously ill children are dependent on special support, such as that offered by the Munich Outpatient Children's Hospice. But the helpers also need help. This is why WEKA continues to support the AKM with a family sponsorship.
Since 2004, the Stiftung Ambulantes Kinderhospiz München (AKM ) has been caring for families with terminally ill and critically ill unborn babies, newborns, children, adolescents and young adults as well as parents in Munich and throughout Bavaria. The team of full-time doctors, psychologists, nurses and social workers is supported by around 300 volunteers in the areas of crisis intervention, family support and public relations work. True to the motto "Don't fill your life with days, fill your days with life", the aim is to be a firm support for families during this difficult time and to provide moments of safety, security and normality.
WEKA FACHMEDIEN, WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING and WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN from Haar have been supporting the AKM with a family sponsorship for several years because they know the value of their work. After all, one almost never bears a difficult fate alone. Children's illnesses also place an enormous burden on those around them, and professional help can do a lot of good - like that offered by the AKM.
