New Group Managing Director for Sales and Marketing
From September 2023, Heinz-Werner Schmidt will be the new Managing Director for Sales and Marketing at Stiebel Eltron. As the second Managing Director, he will lead the Stiebel Eltron Group together with the Chairman of the Management Board, Dr. Kai Schiefelbein.
Schmidt (62) has professional experience in the building technology sector, particularly in the field of heat generators. From 2009 to 2014, he was already responsible for the Stiebel Eltron subsidiary Tecalor. Most recently, he was CEO for all brands of the Dutch BDR Thermea Group represented in Germany (Brötje, Remeha, SenerTec).
The Chairman of the Management Board, Dr. Kai Schiefelbein, comments: "Heinz-Werner Schmidt knows Stiebel Eltron, the markets and the products, and we in turn know about his professional and personal qualities." Schiefelbein will continue to be responsible for Technology, Customer Service, Finance, Purchasing and Human Resources.
Dr. Ulrich Stiebel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, adds: "Against the backdrop of an extremely dynamic national and international market environment, especially in the heat pump sector, we are convinced that with Heinz-Werner Schmidt we will be able to successfully master the challenges ahead of us and continue on our growth path."
In 2022, the Group exceeded the billion euro mark in sales for the first time. Stiebel Eltron plans to invest around 670 million euros worldwide by 2027, including around 450 million euros in Germany.
