Germany's skilled workers are picky. According to the Stepstone study, the image of the company is also important when looking for a job today. If applicants cannot identify with the company, eight out of ten skilled workers would turn down a suitable position.

For 71 percent of respondents, colleagues are more important than tasks. Around 24 percent of men could tolerate a poor working atmosphere as long as the work is interesting. For women, the collegial relationship plays a greater role. Only 16 percent would be prepared to work with colleagues under tense conditions.
